Color matching in packaging printing
If the colors of packaging printing and decoration design are fully conceptualized, from the three primary colors of yellow, magenta, and blue to
Three different colors of red, green, blue, and then four complex colors of magenta, bronze, olive green, and black can be combined to form a new form of expression, just like people already know that if different ink color tones (hue), brightness, and color intensity are combined together, it will also give people a beautiful, soft, and harmonious feeling. Looking at the colors used in packaging printing ink color cards both domestically and internationally, apart from the three primary colors, the vast majority are composite colors. The blending of composite colors is itself a science of color, and the final packaging printing colors are evaluated visually to determine their effectiveness, whether they are good, bad, or superior. Using packaging printing decoration colors to provide us with the products we need, decorating them with a dazzling array of colors, constantly adjusting the work and living environment, will give people a positive stimulus, which is conducive to improving the quality of work and life.
The packaging and decoration of goods in the same environment coexist with several colors, so the coordination between colors is always an endless topic for us to study. Complementary (red and green) colors (the sum of the two colors equals white) can sometimes give off a tacky feeling if not matched well
Give people a strong and eye-catching feeling. A light yellow color paired with a reddish brown color will give people a harmonious beauty due to the similarity in color tones between yellow and red. There is also a combination of dark green and light green, with fresh and eye-catching colors. The method of combining fade and color simultaneously gives people a bright feeling while protecting their eyesight. The simultaneous appearance of red, white, and blue on a packaging gives the impression that red is passionate, white is pure, and blue is solemn, reflecting the beauty of a commodity. Although China had already formulated Chinese color chromatography as early as the 1950s and classified over 4000 varieties in 56 enterprises into 86 printing inks of five major types, including P, T, A, W, and Z, and subsequently formulated 29 testing standards. In addition, the printing ink color cards of various packaging printing ink factories are promoted and distributed in various packaging printing enterprises. As a packaging printing and printing ink designer and worker, we should not be limited to the existing ink color cards and color range. We can often combine the use of Munsell color maps, Chinese color system physical samples, and electronic computer color matching to gradually meet the different requirements of users.
